Kent Rydberg was born and raised in Rye, New York, with many summers spent in Southampton and Water Mill. After graduating from Denver University, he returned to make Southampton his year round residence. Many recognize Kent from the many years he served as the General Manager and host of Southampton's landmark restaurant, The Lobster Inn.

Kent became licensed in real estate in 1982, and in 1994, made the change to a full-time career in real estate. Now, with three plus decades years selling prime properties in the Hamptons, Kent has accumulated the knowledge and experience that makes him a valuable resource and consummate real estate professional who knows how to solve the complex equation known as real estate.

Kent Rydberg joined Prudential Douglas Elliman in 2007 to manage the Westhampton Beach, Quogue, and Hampton Bays offices. His recruiting, training, and leadership brought over fifty new agents to those offices in two years to build formidable teams of the Hamptons very best agents, In 2018, Kent serves clients and customers as Licensed Broker Associate based in the Quogue office.

Kent resides in a beach community on Shinnecock Bay"Canoe Place", with wife, Jane, daughter Allison, and son Christian. Recreationally, he enjoys golf, tennis, skiing, surfing, paddle boarding, and yacht racing. A past Commodore of the Southampton Yacht Club. Kent continues to serve on the Board of Governors and orchestrates racing as Race Committee Chairman for both the Lightning and District 8 Laser classes.
