About John
John Forberger was on the ground floor of Miami’s real estate boom in 2005. At 25 years old, he was the Director of Marketing and Sales Office Manager on iconic and striking residential projects that set the standard for luxury living in South Florida.
Sitting beside pioneering developers Gregg Covin and Kevin Venger, John worked on high-end projects including the crystalline 200 condominium tower Ten Museum Park in downtown Miami and the Kimpton Angler’s Hotel designed by the late Wallace Tutt. Completed in 2007, Ten Museum was developed together with Clinique La Prairie of Switzerland and designed by Oppenheim Architecture & Design. By creating stand out luxury residential marketing materials and targeted campaigns, John's strategies attracted affluent buyers. He directed the construction team and sales office staff in addition to collaborating with owners, Miami-based architects such as Allan Shulman and Chad Oppenheim, engineers, city personnel, banks, Realtors, brokerages, investors, and vendors.
Later, he co-launched a property management division catering to Miami Beach condominiums while managing retail properties in excess of 235,000 sq. ft. for a multi-property national portfolio. Intrigued by land acquisitions, John sought national and regional retailers as new tenants, and helped to retain 80% occupancy in shopping centers in Texas, Florida, and Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Douglas Elliman, John was a Communications Consultant for software companies.
John enjoys playing pickleball at G. T. Bray, volunteering at Southwest Florida bird sanctuaries, taking domestic and international road trips, studying architecture, paddle boarding in Sarasota, and loving on his senior Beagle mix Abby.
He is a member of the Florida Association of REALTORS®, REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee, and the National Association of REALTORS®.
