Long before she became a residential real estate agent specializing in new-build homes on the North Shore of Long Island, Dalia Elison was a builder. After earning degrees in psychology and computer science and starting her professional life in finance and international banking, the Iranian-born Elison pivoted in the mid 1990s and went on to run a construction company.
Since becoming an agent in 2006 and joining Douglas Elliman five years later, the Roslyn-based Elison has channeled her experience and expertise in high-end new construction into helping clients buy and sell spectacular properties on Long Island’s coveted Gold Coast.
“I am drawn to and appreciate the elegance and appeal that high-end properties offer,” she said. “I enjoy working with individuals who value such properties, as they often possess a level of insight and refinement that I find engaging.”
As one of the first agents invited to join Elliman’s Sports & Entertainment Division when it was established in 2015, Elison has been a proven source of trusted guidance for an especially sophisticated clientele that expects unfailing discretion. And she understands that clients interested in a brand-new luxury residence are looking for the height of modern comfort and convenience.
“A buyer can live a carefree life for five to ten years without worrying about repairs,” she said. “They also want automated technology and to control their home wherever they are.”
Her listing at 41 Cornwells Beach Road in Sands Point, N.Y. is a perfect case in point. The exterior of the 8,400-square-foot seven-bedroom, eight-full-bathroom home features classic architectural details, including shake-shingle siding, gable roofs and stone accents. Inside, hardwood floors, soaring ceilings and walls of windows are complemented by contemporary features, such as top-of-the-line kitchen appliances and an elevator. With the listing now in contract, Elison is all the more optimistic about the enduring attraction of new construction on Long Island.
“I anticipate continued growth and demand,” she said. “The area has consistently attracted buyers seeking upscale properties. Ongoing investment in infrastructure and amenities further enhances the appeal of the North Shore, making it an attractive destination for those seeking luxury living.”
Likewise, Elison’s own investment in building a loyal clientele ensure she’ll be able to help them capitalize on those opportunities.
“I do not look at people as dollar signs,” she said. “My clients become a part of a friend-and-family group that stays with me forever.”
