McKenzie Ryan—known for being the youngest real estate agent to be named a Forbes New York Power Broker in 2019— has joined Douglas Elliman after working with Compass Real Estate for five years.

“McKenzie is one to watch,” said Scott Durkin, CEO of Douglas Elliman Realty, LLC. “Not only is she highly regarded in the industry for her impeccable work ethic, but she is also a branding and marketing machine. We are confident she will thrive with us at Elliman.”
Ryan will be representing homes throughout the New York metro area, working from Douglas Elliman’s flagship Manhattan office on Madison Avenue. She is known for utilizing social media to her clients’ advantage. Over the course of the last 12 months, Ryan pulled over $10 million in sales volume just through Instagram, where she has nearly 60,000 followers, and has closed many virtual deals over the last two years, without ever meeting the clients in person. Her listings have spent an average of just 18 days on the market, and two-thirds of the homes she has represented have sold above their original asking price.
Specializing in both resale and new development in the luxury condo and townhouse sectors, Ryan has worked with an extensive portfolio of clientele, including entertainers, athletes, artists and more. Before breaking into real estate while attending high school at Horace Mann in New York City, she was a national athlete and classical ballerina who trained for the Olympics in rhythmic gymnastics.
“I am thrilled to join such a powerhouse firm,” Ryan said. “I am drawn to Douglas Elliman’s first-class resources in technology, marketing and public relations. I look forward to collaborating with the industry’s top talent to expand my business outside New York City to the Hamptons and Westchester.”
