An Inside Look at the Development of Snowmass Base Village

The next phase of development of Snowmass Base Village is currently underway. The project is a collaboration of East West Partners (EWP), Aspen Skiing Company (ASC) and KSL Capital Partners to bring additional lodging and amenities to this premier mountain resort. With a 10-year timeline, the goal of the $600 million dollar transformation is to create a mountain contemporary village that celebrates the surrounding landscape and outdoor lifestyles of the area. Director of construction at East West Partners, Will Little says: “One of the most important things to East West Partners on these projects is being able to preserve the mountain aesthetic. And we need to be responsible stewards of the climate and community around us. Snowmass has been in operation for more than 50 years now, but we have the opportunity to write the history moving forward.” The Limelight Hotel; Image: Stay Aspen Snowmass The Lumin Building; Image: Stay Aspen Snowmass Two residential buildings currently under construction are the  Limelight Hotel , featuring 99 hotel rooms and 11 luxury condos, and the Lumin building which includes 3 residences. Both of these projects are scheduled to be completed by November 2018. The next phase of development will include  ONE Snowmass , additions to the Viceroy , and Building 6 a town municipal building which will benefit the entire community.  “We’re very excited for the newest chapter of Snowmass Village.
