Kent Wu, John Gomes and Fredrik Eklund of The Eklund|Gomes Team have closed the sale of the duplex penthouse at Central Park Tower for $115 million, making it the first nine-figure residential sale in New York City since late 2021.
The Wall Street Journal first reported in January that the agents had brought an anonymous buyer to the property, which spans the 107th and 108th floors of the skyscraper at 217 West 57th Street, along Billionaires’ Row. The 12,557-square-foot residence features seven bedrooms, 30-foot ceilings, two terraces and sweeping views of Central Park and the city. Gary Barnett of Extell Development, the building’s developer, told the Journal that the sale price represented “the most expensive residence we’ve sold.”
