What to Expect: Wellington Equestrian Festival
by Elliman Editors
January 2018
The Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) is the largest and longest-running circuit in horse sport, a 12-week show jumping competition for hunters, jumpers, and equitation held annually in January. The 2018 festival runs from January 10 through April 1. Every week is considered its own show, starting on Wednesday and concluding the following Sunday. The main competitions are showcased in the International Arena daily and on Saturday nights.
Riders travel from more than 40 countries around the world to compete at WEF, and past years have attracted over 250,000 spectators. Here is a quick look at past years!
This is the third consecutive year that Douglas Elliman is the title sponsor and exclusive real estate agency partner at WEF, as well as a Title Week sponsor on March 5-11. The Douglas Elliman Grand Prix will take place the evening of March 10 during our Title Week. In addition, we will be sponsoring the $35,000 Douglas Elliman 1.45m Jumper Classic , held every Wednesday morning starting week three.
