Bunker Hill Monument looms like a beacon in the center, surrounded by desirable brownstones, while down at the water's edge, the USS Constitution remains on display alongside luxury condos. Cozy restaurants line Main Street and City Square, and many of the narrow streets are still lit by gas lamp. Homes tend toward the historic, at a fraction of the price of similar offerings in Beacon Hill and the Back Bay, but new construction lines the historic Navy Yard.
