Even though it may be overlooked as a drive-through on the way to the aquarium in Riverhead, Flanders has some of the most beautiful stretches of woods and bayfront areas of the East End. What it lacks in a downtown it makes up for in sunset views, and with a massive revitalization underway by Renaissance Downtowns, it is probably one of the last places to find relatively affordable waterfront on Long Island's East End.
